Kids’ Martial Arts classes here at Tigers Lair AZ take the time-tested and ultra-effective techniques taught in adult classes and boil them down into a learnable and fun formula that’s perfect for young practitioners. The technique foundations that will allow future martial arts practitioners to excel are taken very seriously here.

These techniques are conveyed by Sensei Pedro and/or Christian Diaz. Both of these men have years of experience in various martial arts, and are certified instructors. Using their years of knowledge and a wide selection of state-of-the-art equipment, ultra-helpful drills and exercises are put into place for the young athletes—each encouraging participation, but not overwhelming students.

The workout benefits of the class cannot be overlooked either. The fun and enjoyable environment once again encourages participation, but does not demand it. At a pace that they are comfortable with, students will master countless techniques—and burn a considerable number of calories.

In the midst of all of this exercise and technique-building, neither safety nor fun are disregarded. Each Sensei has, over years of training and competing, learned the ins and outs of the exercises that will be performed—allowing for the safest training possible. Shortcuts aren’t taught or endorsed in any way—even at this level.

The fun of the training isn’t forgotten either. At this age, the reality is that students are interested, mainly, in having a good time. Through the practice of solid techniques and fundamentals in a safe and exciting environment, these good times will be had.
